Privacy Policy for Bracket Maker: Tourney Builder
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Bracket Maker: Tourney Builder ("the app") is developed by Vadym Ternavskyi ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
In short: Bracket Maker: Tourney Builder works offline. Your tournaments, participant names and settings stay on your device. We have no servers, no accounts and no analytics, and we never see your data. The one thing that leaves your device on its own is the check of whether a subscription is active, which our payment processor carries out — see "Purchases and subscriptions" below.
Information we do not collect
The app does not collect, store or give us access to:
- your name, email address, phone number or any account details — the app has no sign-up or login;
- the tournaments you create or the participant names you enter;
- analytics, usage statistics, crash reports or advertising identifiers;
- your location;
- your contacts, photos or files.
The app contains no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics software.
Information stored on your device
Everything you create in the app — tournaments, participants, match results and your settings (language, theme, haptic feedback) — is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
This data leaves your device only when you explicitly choose to share it:
- Saving a bracket image to Photos. The app asks for permission to add photos to your library. The permission is add-only: the app cannot read or view your existing photos.
- Sharing an image, a PDF or a data export. The file goes only to the destination you pick in the system share sheet (for example Messages, Mail or Files). We receive nothing.
Deleting a tournament in the app, using "Clear all tournaments" in Settings, or deleting the app from your device permanently removes this data. We cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.
Purchases and subscriptions
Bracket Maker: Tourney Builder offers an optional paid subscription ("Pro"). Payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive or store your name, payment card details or billing address.
To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription management provider acting as our processor. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat processes:
- a random, anonymous identifier generated by the app on your device (it is not linked to your name or email). The app shows it in Settings → Data as "Support ID";
- the purchase receipt issued by Apple, including product, purchase and expiry dates;
- basic technical information such as device model, operating system version and country;
- your IP address, used to route the request.
This data is used only to validate the purchase and to keep your Pro status up to date across your devices signed in to the same Apple ID. RevenueCat may store it on servers located in the United States. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple's handling of the payment itself is governed by Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy.
Legal bases for processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- performance of a contract — processing purchase data so that we can provide the Pro features you paid for;
- legitimate interests — protecting purchases against fraud and abuse.
We do not process special categories of personal data, and we do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.
Data retention
- Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple and by RevenueCat for as long as required for accounting, tax and dispute resolution purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing.
Because your tournament data never leaves your device, you already have full control over it: you can view, change, export (Settings → "Export all data") and delete it at any time without contacting us.
Purchase records are filed only under the anonymous identifier described above, not under your name or email. To exercise these rights for purchase records, open Settings → Data → "Support ID" in the app, share or copy the identifier, and send it to terinapps@gmail.com. We will pass the request to our processor. Without this identifier we cannot link a request to a purchase record. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you contact us
If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message (for example a Support ID). We use them only to answer you and to handle your request. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to resolve it and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep it longer, and we do not share it with anyone except where needed to handle your request (for example passing a Support ID to RevenueCat). Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your request. You can ask us to delete this correspondence at any time.
Children
Bracket Maker: Tourney Builder is a general-audience app. It contains no advertising, collects no personal data and includes no social or communication features. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
International transfers
If you purchase a subscription, the purchase data described above may be processed in the United States by RevenueCat. Where required, such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, note it in the app's release notes.
